ROP/Career Tech Education (CTE)

ROP/Career Tech Education (CTE) offers career preperation training to high school and adult students who are residents of Riverside County.
Why take CTE?
Experience is the best teacher. CTE can help you get the experience needed to get a job of your choice and/or help upgrade your skills. In addition, if you are a high school junior or senior, you can recieve high school credits for completed classes.
Who can enroll?
CTE classes are open to all student 16 years of age or older. Priority is given to high school seniors, then juniors, followed by adults. Some classes have special requirements and/or age prerequisites.
How much does the training cost?
There is no tuition fee. Unless exempt, adults pay a $20.00 registration fee. Students may incur some costs for books, uniforms, protective equipment, supplies, medical/legal clearances, and state certification exams as required by the specific course of study.
What do I do if I am interested in taking ROP/CTE classes?
If you are a junior or senior in high school talk to your high school counselor. Also, contact ROP/CTE office (760) 863-3300 to obtian an applicaiton.
