Established in partnership with the United Negro College Fund, the American Dream Scholarship Program is open to African Americans with financial need. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, with a minimum 2.5 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), who meet Pell Grant eligibility criteria, and are enrolled full time at approved, accredited, undergraduate institutions. Open - The Law Enforcement Personnel Dependents Grant
This program is offered to dependants of spouses of Law Enforcement personnel who were either killed in the line of duty or were totally disabled as a result of an accident or injury caused by external violence or physical force incurred in the line of duty. 10/15/10 The CA Museum's California Hall of Fame Dreamers Challenge
This Challenge is inspired by The California Museum’s California Hall of Fame, an honor, an exhibit and an institution, which serves to inspire visitors by exhibiting the extraordinary stories of trailblazers, leaders and legends, who have called California home. The Challenge is open to high school seniors who will graduate in 2009. The winning entry will receive a $5,000 scholarship generously provided by Comcast. The Indian Wells Athena Award is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a female high school senior who is a leader in her community, works hard to achieve her goals, and who exhibits great potential or ability. DECEMBER
12/1/09 The American Architectural Foundation
The American Architectural Foundation offers the Minority/Disadvantaged Scholarships in order to encourage diversity and equity in the architectural profession. These scholarships are open to high school seniors and college freshmen who plan to study architecture at a NAAB-accredited program. The scholarship program was established in 1970 by a grant from the Ford Foundation to aid students who would not otherwise have an opportunity to enter a professional degree program. Twenty awards are made per year and may be renewed for two additional years, ideally maintaining 60 students in the program in any given year. Scholarship amounts range between $500 and $2,500 and are determined by evaluation of financial need information provided by the student and the school.
