Never pay money to get money! Never pay any fees to obtain a list of scholarships. Never pay an application fee. Never pay anyone to conduct a scholarship search…you can do this yourself with the resources provided by the DMHS Counseling Center. Often, companies who ask for money to help you find money are offering the same services we offer you. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is! If in doubt, ask your counselor. Every year thousands of hard earned dollars are given to so called "Scholarship and College Financial Assistance Companies" that are bogus and just out there to scam you.
